Shearwater Resort is an Indigenous wilderness resort in the heart of the Great Bear Rainforest that is owned and operated by Heiltsuk Nation.

Shearwater Resort is on Denny Island, just a short water taxi ride from Bella Bella, British Columbia. We welcome you to experience the warmth of our hospitality, still renowned throughout BC’s mid and northern coast.

Enjoy a fine dining experience at the newly-opened Shearwater Oceanfront Lodge with a forage-to-table style menu including local ingredients and knowledge of our beautiful Nation’s food and culinary history prepared by esteemed Chef Nathan Isberg.

During the summer season, our marina comes to life with all sorts of vessels and activities. It is highly recommended to reserve a spot well in advance. Potable water is available at the main pier throughout the summer months, near the harbour master float house.
