Gold Bridge

Fishing Bridge River Valley, BC | Blake Jorgenson

Nestled in the Bridge River Valley among the towering peaks of the South Chilcotin Mountains, 105km/65mi west of Lillooet, Gold Bridge sprang to life during the Great Depression with the opening of a large gold mine in nearby Bralorne in 1932.

History buffs visiting the area will enjoy visiting old ghost towns and abandoned mines, while the area is home to an incredible depth and breadth of outdoor activities for fishing, hunting, rock hounding, mountain biking and hiking. In the winter the area offers trails for snowmobiling and cross-country skiing and is the base for phenomenal heli-skiing excursions and backcountry exploration.
