Moose Meadows Farm (established 2002) is located 15 km. west of Quesnel in the rural community of Bouchie Lake. Owned and operated by two Professional Foresters, it is a diverse operation that practices both conventional and innovative farming practices. The focus on the farm is its tag line ”Where we farm with the seasons”. The farm is one of very few Birch Syrup Operations in Canada, hosts 2 options for on farm accommodation (A Tent Cabin and the Groom’s Quarters B&B), and is home to 15+ camelids (alpacas and llamas) that are part of sustainable pasture management in addition to providing fibre for yarn, rovings, socks, blankets, and bedding (duvets and pillows). The farm also offers horse boarding and hosts festivals, workshops, and events throughout the year. During the late fall / early winter, the owners, Ted and Heloise, can be found collecting several thousand kilograms of evergreen tips for their evergreen product business. This also includes shipping several hundreds of wreaths across Canada and into the USA along with hosting very popular wreath decorating workshops. The farm also grows berries (saskatoons, haskup, red and black currants, high bush cranberry) and alot of garlic. Much of these products can be found at the Bouchie Lake country Store and /or in the Farm Stand at the end of the driveway of the farm.
