As a musician, inspiration can come from anywhere. For Wayne Levesque, a connection to the past, and his Ojibway culture may be the catalyst for his artistic inspiration.
Bella Coola’s sense of community, lifestyle, and beautiful wilderness, is also an inspiration for his writing.
“I think that’s where I get a lot of my lyrics and energy from, are from the outdoors, the trees and just nature in general. My music, I’m trying to capture that energy”.
Wayne pays that energy forward to those around him. “I like using my skills to help other people enjoy life. This first bit of success is being happy with yourself…and what fills my heart is just finishing a song.”
