Land Without Limits

Green Lake

Green Lake, BC | Kristi Denby

Green Lake is part of the “Land of Hidden Waters” located in the South Cariboo region of British Columbia, Canada, less than 20 km northeast of 70 Mile House. The lake is a popular recreational area and is also home to Green Lake Provincial Park, made up of 11 sites offering activities including hiking, swimming, watersports, camping and boating.

Green Lake is one of the larger bodies of water in the southern Cariboo, at 14 km long averaging 1.5 km in width, with a shoreline of 57 km. The low flushing rate, chemical composition and warm shallow waters of the lake contribute to the greenish hue that gives Green Lake its name.
