From cross-country skiing to fishing and taking a wellness day, you can be sure to find something to your and your family’s liking on the upcoming three-day weekend supported by the Province of British Columbia.

70 Mile House: Ice Fishing Derby & Ice Races

Eddy’s Bar & Grill hosts the 2nd Annual 70 Mile House Ice Fishing Derby at Green Lake. Join in for a day of fun, friendly competition, and plenty of prizes to be won.

If you’re looking to return to 70 Mile House for high-speed excitement on the frozen surface with their 6th Annual Ice Races on the south side of Green Lake, the event has moved to February 28th. Enjoy the action by the fire, and don’t forget to grab a bite from the BBQ by donation!

Lone Butte: Outhouse Races

Get ready for one of the most unique events of the Family Day Weekend: the Outhouse Race! In Lone Butte, on Highway 24, watch costumed racers push their creatively themed outhouses to victory in this fun-filled competition. Enjoy snow games, a 50/50 draw, and food stands while cheering on the teams. And start the day with a delicious breakfast buffet at the Iron Horse Pub, available from 10:00 am on a first-come, first-served basis!
